The Gujarat State Election Commission today issued poll notification for elections to six municipal corporations, to be held on November 22. The Commission on October 23 had announced that it will hold elections in municipal corporations of Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Jamnagar, Bhavnagar, Surat and Rajkot on November 22 while other local bodies will go to the polls on November 29.
Poll notification for other local bodies -- 31 district panchayats, 230 taluka panchayats and 56 municipalities -- will be issued on November 5.
