Seeking something sweet during the disco era, young Americans made the Amaretto Sour a very popular cocktail. Unfortunately, during the same time period, fresh ingredients had been replaced by sour mix and other artificial flavorings. Recipe:
1/2 oz pasteurized egg white
1 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
2 oz Luxardo Amaretto Liqueur: http://bit.ly/luxardo_amaretto
Small scoop of lemon sorbet
Instructions:
Shake with ice to mix and emulsify.
Strain into a chilled old fashioned glass filled with ice.
Garnish with Luxardo Maraschino Cherries (http://bit.ly/luxardomaraschinocherries) and fresh lemon zest.
