A recent report by Bank of America Merrill Lynch has found that robotics and artificial intelligence is a sector with long-term growth and investment prospects; however, jobs will likely be made obsolete and security risks are expected to increase as a result.

The market for robotics and artificial intelligence, or AI, is expected to grow to an estimated $153 billion by 2020, according to a recent report by Bank of America Merrill Lynch. 
One analyst wrote that these high-tech sectors “are becoming an integral part of our daily lives as providers of labor, mobility, safety, convenience, and entertainment.”
