The DNC way oversimplified the argument against saying "radical Islam," which isn't that the phrase itself is wrong, but that there are better ways to express it that don't risk harming our ability to enlist allies in the Mideast. Saying "radical Islam" isn't "inciting fear," insisting that saying it is the only way to defeat terrorism is. Case in point:
