Drejtoria e Ujësjellës-Kanalizimeve njofton se për shkak te reshjeve te rena gjate natës dhe rrëshqitjes se tokës, është këputur linja e transmetimit te ujit ne Shën Mëri. Kjo linje furnizon kryeqytetin me 800 litra ujë ne sekonde. Drejtori i Ujësjellësit për Tiranen, Sait Dollapi, thotë se avaria është e rende. Edhe pse po punohet për riparimin e demit, nuk dihet ende se kur do te përfundojë. Aktualisht sipas Dollapit, qyteti po furnizohet me burime alternative, nga burimet e tjera kryesore siç janë Selita dhe Bovilla. Me herët, burimi i Shën Mërisë ka qene kryesori ne furnizimin me ujë te Tiranes, por pas ndërtimit te ujëmbledhësit te Bovilles gjendja e tij u degradua si pasojë edhe e mungesës se investimeve.
