Jovino Novoa, former right-wing senator and collaborator with dictator Augusto Pinochet, has received a 3-year probated sentence for fraud. He is the first to be convicted in a notorious case linked to illegal campaign financing. He will be required to pay $US5,000 in damages and a $4,000 dollar fine. teleSUR
