Fooding hit the Lake District on Saturday as the effects of Storm Desmond began to be felt across parts of the UK.

Roads were inundated in the town of Grasmere where the River Rothay burst its banks.

People in large parts of Scotland and northern England have been warned to prepare for flooding as Storm Desmond continues to bring heavy rain.
