In May of 2015, pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii made his debut performances in Vienna's Golden Hall (Musikverein). His performance greatly impressed Herr Helmut Berger, Bürgermeister (mayor) of the town of Pitten in Lower Austria.
At the invitation of the mayor, Nobu and his manager Mr. Nick Asano traveled to the town for a visit. They were given an official welcome before paying a visit to the Franz Schubert Regional Music School.
Then Nobu was taken to the town's cathedral, where the town chorus gathered to give Nobu a sweet surprise. They had been practicing to perform for Nobu. First, they vocally accompanied Nobu playing his own composition "House of Wind" on the piano. Then, with Nobu as the audience, the choir sang Japan's famous folk song "Sukura" in Japanese. Nobu was visibly moved.
