Rwandan President Paul Kagame says he intends to seek a third term in office.

Changes to the constitution, adopted in December, mean Kagame can rule until 2034 if he continues to win at the ballot box.

The constitutional changes were put to a referendum and won the backing of 98 percent of those that voted.

Rwanda goes to the polls in 2017.
