Volkswagen’s Budd-e had its world premier in Las Vegas at the Consumer Electronics Show one of two Volkswagen concept electric cars which were unveiled.
It’s a vehicle that knows your touch, wave your hand the door will open. But what about that emissions scandal. The marque’s brand manager believes he can strike a deal to bring nearly 500,000 diesel vehicles into compliance with US emission laws.
“I am optimistic that we will find a conclusion and will put a package together, which satisfies our customers first and foremost then also the regulators here in the United States,” told reporters.
The e-Golf Touch was the other VW showcased at Vegas. A fully electric car which in the words of the makers “delivers a new automotive experience”.
