MIAMI — A woman was arrested by police in Miami on Sunday night after she attacked a Uber driver and damaged his car because he refused to drive her.
A video published on YouTube starts with a drunk woman already arguing with an Uber driver. But according to the person who filmed the video, before the recording started the woman appeared out of nowhere, sat down in the driver's car backseat and decided she would not move until he would drive her away.
The driver however, having already agreed to drive the two people who later filmed the video, told her he could not drive her and to get out of his car. When she refused, he said he would call the cops. It is then that the woman, now out of the car, started attacking him.
Later, while the driver called 911, she sat down in the front seat and started throwing everything she could find out of the car window.
The police finally showed up after the video ends. Officers reportedly struggled to arrest the woman as she had already entered another taxi and was trying to leave the scene. While handcuffed, she tried to kick one of the officers, according to the description on YouTube.
Eventually, the woman started crying and apologizing, saying she would lose her medical license (she claimed to be a neurologist) if she got arrested. The way-too-nice driver eventually decided not to press charges against her and only asked for a cash settlement.
According to the person who filmed the video, the driver was paid an amount of money for the damages that was probably only enough to pay his cell phone bill and perhaps his cable bill.
Do you think this woman got off a little bit too easily?
