Weak an flimsy parts produced.
NOT Plastic but resin.
The Good:-
Cold, no heat required
No cables.
No filament, Ink
Colours can be mixed.
The not so good:-
Not 3D.. You can only make two dimensional, (like drawn lines) which one cured have to be joined, this Pen can be used to join parts, together to make a 3D object.
No refills, disposable, and have to buy a new pen which has ink in it. Or even may have to buy a kit.
Weak an flimsy parts produced
No batteries for the pen, but some are required to power the Ultraviolet torch which is used to cure the Ink
An Ultraviolet torch is used to cure the Ink and you will have to take some care that this is not shined into the eyes.
Using the Ultraviolet torch supplied, takes 30 seconds to cure and for me with the batteries I used only a small area of the part can be cured at once. So on even small model could take some time to cure completely, each about 20mm takes 30 second to cure. If more layers are added to increase the strength then take time take to cure each layer has to be added. So even one small side of a model could take half an hour to cure per layer. Note I did notice after making this video that the Ultraviolet torch can make a bigger beam at a further distance but I would think this would reduce the power quite a bit and be no quicker.
