Kanpur, Feb 20 (ANI): Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists distributed national flags here in a Kanpur university, in order to inculcate patriotrism amongst students.
An activist student informed that the awareness programme aims at educating people about the controversial JNU issue and curb similar situations. The awareness programme was held at Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU) that was formerly called Kanpur University. This move of ABVP has come up after students from various organisations have been consistently protesting against the arrest of JNUSU president Kanhaiya Kumar, who allegedly organised the controversial February 9 event on the JNU campus against the hanging of 2001 Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru.
