Ukraine votes for a song about Stalin’s wartime deportation of the Tatars to represent the country at this year’s Eurovision. Singer Jamala, who herself belongs to the Muslim Tatar minority of Crimea, sang about her great-grandmother who was deported with her children to central Asia.
