Mexican authorities on Wednesday released security camera video showing the moment drug lord Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman escaped from the maximum security Altiplano jail early on Monday. Guzman is the most powerful drug lord in Mexico.
A camera installed inside Guzman's cell shows him walking around the room on Saturday night, before heading towards the shower area and disappearing from view. Guzman was able to escape from prison thanks to a 1.5-kilometre tunnel connecting his shower to a half-built home in a rural area.
