Bareilly, Feb 28 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday reached out to the farming community, asking them to transform all challenges into opportunities. Prime Minister Modi, who was addressing a ‘Kisaan rally’ in Bareilly, pointed out that there are a lot of challenges before the farmers, who provide food to the entire nation. He requested all the state governments to give utmost priority to farmers' issues and said that it was his wish to double the income of farmers by 2022 when India would be celebrating 75 years of its Independence. Prime Minister Modi further said that farmers want at least one member of their family to take up job because they know they cannot just sustain on agriculture. He said the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the Centre has been taking multiple steps to promote scientific methods in agriculture. The Prime Minister added that his government has launched schemes like the Soil Health Card and Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana to bring revolution in the agriculture sector.
