Dharamsala, Feb 29 (ANI): Dozens of Buddhist monks and devotees participated in a four-day seminar to review the life and practices of their spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, in Himachal Pradesh state. The seminar was organised at Gyuto Monastery in Dharamsala, where the monks read out Buddhist scriptures and expressed their gratitude to the Dalai Lama. An Associate Professor at Central University for Tibetan Studies in Varanasi, Jampa Tsamten, said the Tibetan community was indebted to the Dalai Lama for his tireless efforts. Debates over 20 topics, including the spiritual leader’s life and education plans, political responsibilities, Tibetan medicine, democracy and modern science among others were conducted during the seminar.
