I was thinking about Keren Ann's wonderful song "I'm not going anywhere," and realized the idea had something to do with my own M.O. It's all to do with being content with a simple place to paint. A folding workstation makes joy. Painting in plein air in a modest "outdoor office," one is isolated in a small universe where a private creative process takes place. Still, it's the air, the odors, the openness of it all. Life's a beach!
