Kapoor & Sons (Since 1921) is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy-drama film[2] directed by Shakun Batra and produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. The film stars an ensemble cast including Rishi Kapoor, Ratna Pathak, Rajat Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra, Fawad Khan, and Alia Bhatt.[3][4]

The film is scheduled for release on 18 March 2016.
Estranged brothers Rahul and Arjun Kapoor are forced to return to their childhood home when their 90-year-old grandfather wants to see them, then gets a heart attack. While living under one roof, family secrets unravel and misunderstandings are on the verge of turning into tragedy. Rahul and Arjun both fall in love with the same girl, which is where the problem starts.This problem adds a great disturbance between the two.

In earlier 2015, Karan Johar announced his next film, titled Kapoor & Sons, which will feature Alia Bhatt with Sidharth Malhotra and Fawad Khan as the lead roles. Johar said in an interview "We have a very stylish star cast." The movie revolves around two brothers played by Sidharth Malhotra and Fawad Khan. Rishi Kapoor will be playing grandfather of the male leads

The music for the film is composed by Amaal Mallik, Badshah, Arko Pravo Mukherjee, and Tanishk Bagchi. The background score is given by Sameer Uddin. The lyrics are penned by Badshah, Kumaar, Manoj Muntashir, Dr. Devendra Kafir, and Abhiruchi Chand. Sony Music India have acquired the music rights of the film.

The film's first song "Kar Gayi Chull", a party song, was released on 17 February 2016.[8] The second song "Bolna" was released on 24 February 2016.[9] The full music album was released on 4 March 2016.
