Rajkot/ Patna, Mar 22 (ANI): Markets in Gujarat state are selling herbal and skin-friendly colours as residents gear up to play the festival of colours, Holi. The colourful spring festival signifies the triumph of good over evil. It also celebrates the eternal love of Lord Krishna and his consort Radha. Though Holi falls on March 24 this year, festivities begin a week ahead of the festival. Holi involves the throwing of coloured powder but studies have found that the industrial powders used are often toxic and can cause asthma, temporary blindness and even skin cancer. This has led to the demand for herbal colours. Water guns and other toys are a huge hit among children who make the most of the festival. Toys with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's portrait were launched in the market ahead of the festival.
