Project Cars Ginetta G40 Junior Championship, Round 5 at Donington Park - Race 1, five lap sprint race.

Donington is the venue for the final round of the season and the weather plays a big role in what turned out to be one of the most bizarre and lucky races I've yet had in Project Cars. I arrived here with no real need to win, having a comfortable buffer at the top of the championship standings; in fact it was mathematically already mine. However, it would be nice to finish the season on a high so I was quietly hoping for some good results and some entertaining racing.

Qualifying was a bit of a mess with the session getting underway in the dry but only remaining that way for the out lap and the first third of the first hot lap when the heavens opened quite spectacularly. Drivers who managed to capitalize on that first lap got the good grid positions, those who didn't had no more dry laps and I managed only the 11th fastest time .

The race, a five lap sprint, also started in heavy rain and things got "interesting" from the get go. I won't add any spoilers here, let's just say that the AI displayed some very odd behaviour and leave it at that. Enjoy the racing, it was a surprising round to say the least!

Let me have your thoughts on this one in the comments :-)
