The Turkish military operation against PKK that started March 14 was still ongoing in Nusaybin on Wednesday, on the frontier with Syria, and according to the army, 137 militants have been killed in the operation so far. Ankara has vowed to wipe out the PKK, classed as a terrorist organisation by Turkey and its Western allies, and has said "clean-up" operations were underway in Yuksekova, Nusaybin and Sirnak.
