Former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly, in an exclusive interview at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2014, talks about Indian vice-captain Virat Kohli’s potential to lead the team in the future.

Ganguly speaks about Kohli in the backdrop of the team’s 5-0 whitewash of Sri Lanka in the ODI series that concluded this month.

Ganguly says Kohli has performed well as a stand-in captain on India pitches but the real test of captaincy is when one leads the team overseas.

Ganguly also speaks about the future of T-20 cricket and why it’s possible to sustain feasibly all the three formats of cricket – test, ODI and the T-20.
