 ADNAN OKTAR:   In the 20th verse of the 87th Surah, the people of Prophet Moses (pbuh) are making a statement to him; "They said, ‘We did not break our promise to you of our own volition", they broke their promise but claim they didn't do it willingly, on their own accord. But surely it is a weak-willed community.  Because, they shouldn't break their promise no matter what anyone says, as theirs is a promise given to God. "But we were weighed down with the heavy loads of the people’s jewelry", such as jewelry made of gold, silver. But what is specifically referred here is gold. They brought golden bracelets, rings, necklaces, etc. with them beyond measure. Jewish people are keen on gold. They were the same in that era as well as they carried all their gold with them.
