Footage of a particularly large rat caught stealing food from a bird table at night by an infrared motion sensor camera.

The video, filmed in London, UK on Sunday, shows birds competing for food during the day, but as soon as night falls, the table attracts a different kind of visitor.

The filmer later wrote online: "Andrew Mitchell set his up to feed the birds in his garden.

"He didn't realise what he was attracting once darkness fell."

"This motion sensor camera uses infra red to expose the alarming truth," he continued.
