Five people have been arrested by British authorities as part of expanding counter terrorism probes following last month's attacks in Brussels.
A senior police official says the arrests were made in cooperation with French and Belgian security agencies, but didn't comment on potential charges.
According to British media sources, who cited police sources, say that at least two suspects linked to the Paris and Brussels attacks traveled last year to Birmingham in central Britain and took photographs of various sites, including a soccer stadium.
British officials said three men and a woman were taken into custody late Thursday in Birmingham.
A fifth person was picked up early Friday at Gatwick Airport outside London.
