Palliative care is a class of health care for patients and families who are struggling life threatening illness. Palliative care also known as end-of-life or comfort care.

It mainly focuses on patient’s psychological, social, cultural, emotional and spiritual needs. The goal of palliative care is to provide comfort and dignity for the person living with illness as well as his / her family and their objective is relief of pain and other troubling symptoms.
