Nagpur, May 04 (ANI): A village in Maharashtra's Nagpur district has started an initiative to conserve water. The public welfare committee of Nagpur, comprising retired engineers, is working hard to save every drop of water in 15 villages under the'Save Water Initiative'. Under the initiative, the wells that have dried up due to intense heat are being preserved by being dug deep. Similarly canals are being built on vertical planks to avoid silt accumulation. The depleting water level had become a concern for its residents, but after re-building of dams and deepening of lakes, the water scarcity has yet not surfaced here.
