I was reunited with my doggy Sandy this morning after 7 months. - Sandy was born in Mexico. Adopted him from a Mexican family at the San Diego border. His name was inspired by the color of his coat which reminded me of my love for the Hawaiian beaches and San Diego, where he was raised for the first 2.5 years of his life. However Sandy & I escaped to my parents home in Scotland after I up & left my abusive marriage. Felt lost & suffered depression for a long time. I returned to the USA 7 months ago to find me again & because It has shaped so much of who I am after spending the best part of my twenties there. Although it broke my heart, he has been under the care of my amazing parents who have given him a life I was unable to give him after I left my ex-husband in California. However, I am forever in debt to Sandy because he gave me reason to get out of bed when I was in a really dark place. He has endured the pain equally as I have. He is a very special dog.
