CHINA — One Chinese woman's attempt to replicate a popular video stunt involving corn and a power drill has failed painfully. Instead of internet praise, the woman has only a sizeable bald spot to show for it after a rapidly spinning cob seized her hair and tore it out.
Following the success of her first video, approaching 700,00 views on YouTube and millions more after being posted on other news outlets since May 7, she's since released videos of life after her corn-drill incident – trips to the doctor to treat her bald spot, eating noodles with her bald-spot, and making it a point of telling the world that, no the video was not fake, and this is in fact a real bald spot.
The act of eating corn on the cob off a power drill has been copied by many people for years, with some videos tracing back to 2012.
