Local Dallas pastor Dr. Frederick D. Haynes III who is the senior pastor of Friendship-West Baptist Church in Oak Cliff started a internship program to give young black men a chance at building a better life. Haynes states that this program is giving
young black men ages 16 to 19 a chance to be in corporate suites and keep them off the streets. Dr. Haynes is known to many as the "Hip Hop pastor", due to him including young black men and women in church and in community involvement.
