Swiss snowboarder Christian "Hitsch" Haller, usually known for his skills in the half-pipe, established a new world record for the highest snowboard air on a hip jump, reaching a full 11.3m over the coping. The record jump took place during the Suzuki Nine Knights "Perfect Hip" public contest on 2nd of June 2016 in Watles, South Tyrol in Italy.
