On a day where Bernie Sanders pledged to roll into the Democratic national convention in July with a "great deal of momentum," the Vermont Senator also remarked on the bigger picture, which is to not allow Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump to become president. "If we want a campaign that will make sure the disaster that is Donald Trump does not become president – we are that campaign," Sanders shouted to attendees at the Oakland rally. Sanders noted that in "virtually every single poll," he outperforms Hillary Clinton against Trump.
