According to reports, Ali chose Anushka over Deepika because he felt the latter has done too many films with SRK. So as luck would have it, the actress didn’t make the cut because she did one film more with SRK than Anushka. The Tamasha lady debuted with him in Om Shanti Om and followed it up with Chennai Express and Happy New Year while Anushka did her first film with Shah Rukh, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and then Jab Tak Hai Jaan. So, it sounds a pretty strange reason to us.
