This all-purpose adapter takes advantage of your PC/laptop's Type C port and converts it into VGA/HDMI/Ethernet/HDMI and into a USB 3.0 port, all of which can be used simultaneously if needed.

Don't know if it'll be compatible with every computer out there, but I do know it works with my XPS 9350, after finally figuring out some poor instructions of course.

If you have an XPS laptop with thunderbolt 3/Type C and this adapter doesn't seem to be working with it, then you need to go to Dell's driver site, find your device, and first download the thunderbolt 3 firmware driver, then download the thunderbolt updater after that, and install them in that order.

Dell's driver site is located here: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Products/?app=drivers

On Dell's official site it's listed at $120 or something outrageous like that, save yourself the trouble and get it through Microsoft instead: http://bit.ly/1SbLRac

Rather expensive given that it's just a glorified adapter ($65 CAD), but if compared to other adapters then this one is actually a pretty good deal. Most other adapters won't be multi-purpose but will cost just as much.
