Acclaimed Italian composer and pianist Ludovico Einaudi performed his composition 'Elegy for the Arctic' atop a platform floating on the Arctic Ocean, as part of a Greenpeace campaign to protect the polar region. Greenpeace ship Arctic Sunrise transported Einaudi to Svalbard, where he performed on a grand piano against the backdrop of the Wahlenbergbreen glacier. The video, published by Greenpeace on Monday, shows ice collapsing into the sea as Einaudi plays his solemn elegy.
