Dramatic footage has emerged from China, of firefighters rescuing a four-year-old boy standing on the edge of a balcony.

The video, captured in Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on Tuesday, shows a firefighter climbing down a rope ladder onto the third floor to pull to boy to safety.

Reports say the boy climbed out of the balcony as he was looking for his mother and could not find her.
