Ahmedabad: Eleven years after Gujarat high court first nudged the state government to make helmets compulsory for two wheeler riders, the state department has decided to take the initiative a step further. Until now, wearing headgear was deemed compulsory only for those driving two-wheelers and male pillion riders.
