An Emirates aircraft en route from Thiruvananthapuram, India, to Dubai made an emergency landing at Dubai International Airport on August 3. Emirates said on Facebook that flight EK521 had been “involved in an accident” and that there were 282 passengers and 18 crew on board.
“Our main priority at this time is the safety and wellbeing of all involved and full co-operation is being extended to the authorities and emergency services managing the situation,” the statement said.
Dubai’s Media Office confirmed on Twitter that all passengers and crew had been safely evacuated from the plane.
