Views 2

With growing population, water and energy crises are worsening in South Asia. On the one hand, water management is necessary to ensure food security, and on the other there is a dire need to produce sufficient energy to keep the economic wheel moving. Rivers like Indus, Ganges, and Brahmaputra are three main sources of water for the South Asian region. As water, food, and energy are interconnected, with water as the key for food security and energy generation, it is the prime responsibility of South Asian leadership to come up with practical steps for the well-being of the region. Shamsul Mulk, and Dr Imran Khalid discuss the water, food, and energy nexus, its policy challenges and way forward with Anam Khan, and Tahir Dhindsa at the 'Coffee Table' program.
