A rock wall is not a good place for dogs to navigate.
An adventurous runaway canine ended up needing rescue after trying to climb down one such tall formation in Virginia, Minnesota.
After hearing the sounds of rocks falling, the contractors working on the Hwy 53 bridge project noticed the dog stranded in a precarious situation roughly halfway down the wall. A Facebook post by the Minnesota Department of Transportation notes, "The 12-year-old retriever...got herself stuck behind the rock netting. Luckily, the contractors spotted her and were able to quickly get her down with the help of a man lift."
Fortunately, the dog had an ID tag containing a phone number and within about 30 minutes, she was happily reunited with her human family.
