Police and local villagers were reportedly injured in a confrontation this morning in Sagaing Division's Yinmarbin township, when police rolled in with bulldozers and started uprooting toddy palm trees on a 100-acre stretch of land. The land was allegedly confiscated without compensation and is to be used for the construction of the 28th Police Battalion.
