Footage has emerged of a massive brush fire in Catalonia, Spain.

The video, filmed on Monday, shows flames engulfing the forest of Calafell and a huge plume of smoke rising up to the sky, whilst helicopters try to tackle the blaze by pouring water onto it from the air.

According to local reports, the fire covered around 11 hectares of brushland.
