Guwahati, Sep 13 (ANI): Scores of enthusiastic people gathered at the famous Chandmari flyover in Guwahati for ‘Run, Raise, Respond Northeast’ – a half marathon aimed at encouraging young entrepreneurs in the region. Organised by British entrepreneur Nigel Eastwood in collaboration with North East Development Foundation, the marathon also sought to support flood relief activities in the northeast. MNet, one of the leading telecom companies in the region, was the key sponsor of the run. The marathon was also organized in Shillong, and is scheduled to be held in Kohima and Imphal in the next few days. Eastwood, who has undertaken similar charity runs in India earlier too, said the event aims to create more jobs and build a diverse growing economy in the northeast. Such initiatives will help motivate the youth towards entrepreneurship and boost economy.
