Houston is 2-0 on the year. They upset Oklahoma at home in week one winning 33-23 as a +13 point underdog. The Cougars crushed FCS school Lamar 42-0 as a -42 ½ point favorite. The total went under 68 points. The defense dominated the Cardinals limiting them to just 73 yards of offense. Lamar ran for 15 yards on 28 carries and threw for 58 yards. The Cougars finished with 511 offensive yards with 5.4 yards per carry on the ground on 71 carries. Quarterback Kyle Postma hit on 14 of 25 passes for 125 yards and a pick. He had two rushing touchdowns running for 106 yards on seven carries.
Cincinnati is also 2-0 on the campaign. They beat Tennessee Martin at home in week on 28-7. The Bearcats come off the 38-20 road victory at Purdue as a -3 point wagering favorite. The total went over 57 ½ points. Both offenses put up over 500 yards in the contest. Bearcats quarterback Hayden Moore was more accurate hitting on 19 of 32 throws for 250 yards and three touchdowns. He also added two rushing touchdowns as he ran 8 times for 58 yards. The Bearcats picked off five passes from Purdue quarterback David Blough.
