The prices for health insurance and health care are increasing, because of this 26 percent of cancer patients cannot even afford medical attention and 18 percent cannot afford medication. A researcher from the University of North Carolina named Dr. Greg Knight stated, “There is a significant proportion of our patients who are having financial difficulties and perhaps missing car because of those difficulties… I think the first priority is… [identifying] these patients early, and… [brining]… resources from public and private sources.”
