Russian aid reaches Aleppo

Following heavy airstrikes, which killed 90 people, reportedly involving Russian jets, Russian humanitarian aid is being distributed in parts of Aleppo.

Large queues formed near Russian military vehicles in al-Ashrafieh (Al-Ash-ra-feea) neighbourhood.

Colonel Richtov, a representative of the Russian Reconciliation Centre said: “The kits, distributed to citizens, include canned fish and meat, flour, rice and sugar. They have also been distributed to those who exited eastern Aleppo via humanitarian passages.”

This aid was desperately needed especially since at least 18 of the 31 vehicles in an aid convoy were struck en route to deliver assistance to 78,000 people in a rebel-held area earlier this week.
