ATLANTA — Police have released surveillance video of an armed home invasion in Atlanta with the hopes of catching two suspects.
The video shows three armed robbers entering a home on 3500 block of Spring Drive in Gwinnett County, Georgia on the morning of Sept. 16. A woman, later identified as an owner in the restaurant and seafood industry, was conducting business with a male friend inside the house at the time.
The two were in separate rooms when the woman woke to strange noises inside the house. She grabbed her handgun and went to investigate when she encountered the three robbers and opened fired.
The three returned fire and attempted to flee the scene. On their way out, the woman managed to shoot one of the intruders in the torso, killing him. The deceased was later identified as 28-year-old Antonio Leeks.
The other two robbers fled the scene. They have have been described as black males, 6-feet tall with thin builds and facial hair. One was wearing a white baseball cap, dark-colored pants and dark-colored athletic shoes. The other had short black hair and was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored pants and black athletic shoes.
Both are considered armed and dangerous.
