Netherlands win World Street Soccer Championship

The Netherlands won the first ever World Street 3s Championship on Sunday (September 25) after they beat Denmark 4-2 in the final.

The tournament, hosted in Manchester as part of the Soccerex Football Festival, brought together teams from eight nations - the Netherlands, Denmark, England, Croatia, France, Netherlands, Italy and the United States.

England, Belgium, Italy and the U.S. were knocked out in the playoffs meaning Croatia played the Netherlands and France faced Denmark in the semi-finals.

The Dutch ultimately proved to be the best team, scoring 25 goals throughout the tournament.

Denmark's Jacob Corneliusen was given the Fair Player Award for being the player who displayed the best tricks and technique skills during the tournament.
