BULENT SEZGIN: I seek refuge in Allah from the cursed satan "Alif, Ram, Ra. Those are the signs of the Clear Book." (Surah Yusuf, 1)

ADNAN OKTAR: God says beforehand that the Quran is clear, so He opens up the perception of people. Because when a man says, "Quran is not understandable," the doors of idolatry become wide open. Then, they can fabricate as much as they can; they can change the religion as much as they like. So for idolaters there appears a method, may God forbid. For that reason, the Quran emphasizes that before every explanation. God explains in such a beautiful way. Yes you may proceed

BULENT SEZGIN: "We have sent it down as an Arabic Quran so that hopefully you will use your intellect." (Surah Yusuf, 2)

ADNAN OKTAR: They could have no objections for Arabic, because the Quran was revealed to Arabia, to that region. They all knew Arabic. They can't say that they don’t understand. There is only the problem with conceiving. If a person has the wit, he can conceive; if you don't, you can't. Then you would get lost amongst idolatry.

BULENT SEZGIN: "We tell you the best of stories in revealing this Quran to you... (Surah Yusuf, 3)

ADNAN OKTAR: Story? What are stories told for? They are told so that you can understand the moral of the story. They are not told as fables or just for the sake of telling. It sheds light to an event that will take place. It retells real events with symbols. Surah Yusuf is the retelling of the Mahdi movement with symbols.

BULENT SEZGIN: "...even though you were unaware of it before it came." (Surah Yusuf, 3)

ADNAN OKTAR: Yes, the original knowledge mentioned in the verse is not written in the Torah or the Bible. No one is aware of it, not even our Prophet (saas). God reveals him the true version of it. Because, the version in the Torah was altered. The Rabbis altered it on their own account.   For example, look at the way they make a sacred, wonderful prophet like the Prophet Solomon (pbuh) seem. They make him seem like a man who is corrupted and meddles in idolatry. Who are you to talk about the sacred Prophet Solomon (pbuh) like this?  He is a prophet. From the moment God created him, he was destined to be a prophet. His prophecy is not a last resort. He was born to this world as a prophet. We see his excellence in great detail in the Song of Solomon in the Torah. There is a chapter called "Song of Solomon."  We see in there his superior wisdom, morality, quality, sense of love, faith in God; we see all his wonderful characteristics. Yet you talk about his idolatry, his going astray. Come to your senses.

Yes, I'm listening.

BULENT SEZGIN: "When Joseph told his father, "Father! I saw eleven bright stars, and the sun and moon as well. I saw them all prostrate in front of me." (Surah Yusuf, 4)

ADNAN OKTAR: Eleven stars. How many stars are there in European Union's flag?
